The Melton joins Mortgage Broker Tools affordability platform

Published on

Melton Building Society has joined the Mortgage Broker Tools panel, giving advisers access to its affordability assessments through the research and sourcing platform.

The integration, completed at the end of July, allows brokers to compare Melton’s affordability results with those of other lenders through a single system.

The Melton, which distributes its mortgages exclusively through intermediaries, said the move would make its product range more accessible and help brokers assess whether clients meet its lending requirements.

Dan Atkinson, head of distribution at Melton Building Society, said: “As a lender that works exclusively through mortgage intermediaries, we’re committed to providing brokers with all the tools and information they need to support their clients effectively.

“By joining Mortgage Broker Tools, we’re making it simpler for brokers to assess affordability and identify when Melton Building Society could be the right fit, helping them deliver a better experience and outcome for their client.”

He added: “We know brokers value speed, accuracy and certainty when researching options for their clients. Our availability through Mortgage Broker Tools places our lending solutions within a platform that is already widely used across the market and continues to grow, supporting advisers in placing cases efficiently.”

Tanya Toudmadj (pictured), managing director at Mortgage Broker Tools, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Melton Building Society to the Mortgage Broker Tools platform.

“Adding more lender options helps advisers access a broader range of solutions while enabling lenders to increase visibility within the intermediary community.”

Mortgage Broker Tools enables advisers to research affordability, lending criteria and product options without consulting individual lender systems. The addition of Melton expands the range of lenders available through the platform.
