The Leeds supports Operation Christmas Child

Leeds Building Society is supporting the Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Christmas Child Appeal for the fourth successive year.

All 65 U.K. branches of Leeds Building Society have been acting as ‘drop off points’ for the appeal.

Operation Christmas Child is the world’s largest children’s Christmas appeal with a heritage of 20 years. Last year 1.2 million shoeboxes were sent from the UK to children in hospitals, orphanages, Internally Displaced Persons camps, homeless shelters and impoverished communities. The charity is hoping to reach even more children in the poorest parts of the world in 2010.
