Panacea Adviser, the online community and resource for financial advisers, has teamed up with Advisertech, a website offering insight on a range of online marketing and social media issues.

Advisertech was originally set up in September 2013 by Pete Matthew, managing director of Jacksons Wealth Management in Penzance, and is a membership website which allows advisers to explore one area of marketing or social media use each month.

The theme and content on Advisertech changes on a monthly basis meaning advisers will learn about a range of topics including how to win with Twitter, podcasting, email marketing, and much more.

Members of Advisertech will learn about the subject via four main lessons each month. They are:

  • Inside Track – a look over Pete’s shoulder as he demonstrates his workflow, the tools he uses and the techniques he employs to create content.
  • Video Masterclass – Pete interviews leading experts in specific online marketing or social media use.
  • Tools and Resources – Pete reviews the best tools for each job involved in producing compelling online content or spreading the word via social media.
  • Live Q&A Call – Once a month Pete hosts a live conference call where members can submit questions in advance or ask them live on the call, receiving Pete’s input.

Matthew is known for his instructional videos and podcasts via his MeaningfulMoney website. Panacea Adviser members are able to join Advisertech for £35 per month – a cost which will not change for the lifetime of their membership; there is no minimum contract term and the fee gives access to the current module and all future modules.

Derek Bradley, CEO of Panacea Adviser, said: “In this day and age it is increasingly important for financial advisers to use online marketing and social media in order to promote their businesses. The problem is that very few advisers initially feel comfortable working in this environment and most would like to learn from someone with a proven record in this area – this is why we have teamed up with Pete Matthew to promote Advisertech to Panacea members.

“Pete has been incredibly successful in his use of these media – to such an extent that his MeaningfulMoney website is now the biggest source of new client enquiries to his financial planning practice.

“Given that he is a true leader in his field we felt all Panacea members would benefit from learning about these techniques and seeing how Pete tackles the subject, produces interesting content, gets his messages out and the tools and media he uses to do this. Over time this will build up into a hugely insightful and informative resource which should allow advisers to make significant strides in the areas of both online marketing and social media, and at the same time hopefully replicate Pete’s success.”

“Matthew added: “After four years of learning as I went along, I believe I have made most of the mistakes possible when harnessing the internet to promote my business. If I was starting from scratch now, I reckon I would see results much more quickly, thanks to that experience.

“I’m very excited to share everything I have learned with the fantastic community of advisers at Panacea and I look forward to welcoming them as members of Advisertech.”
