Sesame lending volumes rise 32% as adviser numbers reach 760

Sesame Network reported a 32% year-on-year increase in lending volumes during the first half of 2026, alongside growth in mortgage completions and protection business.

The broker network, part of Sesame Bankhall Group, recorded a 27% rise in mortgage completions and a 28% increase in protection business written compared with the same period last year.

Sesame attributed the performance to adviser recruitment, higher productivity and changes to its adviser support services.

The network recruited 181 advisers during the period, taking its total to 760 advisers across 260 firms. These figures represented year-on-year increases of 25% and 10% respectively.

Sesame said it also had a pipeline of firms seeking to join the network.

Support measures introduced by the business included mortgage and protection roadshows, training programmes and improvements to its platform. Sesame said adviser productivity increased by 13%.

Toni Smith (pictured), Sesame director, said: “At Sesame, we’re focused on giving advisers the support that genuinely makes a difference – freeing up more time to spend with their customers and helping them to start, run, grow and ultimately exit successful businesses.

“That’s resonating in the market. We’ve built strong momentum in recruitment and have a healthy pipeline of high-quality firms looking to join, drawn by a proposition that’s built around long-term partnership and practical support.

“We’re also seeing encouraging growth in protection, with more advisers recognising the value of those deeper client conversations and the real difference they can make to client outcomes.”

In April, Sesame launched OneView, a web-based platform that brings together tools, data and processes. The network said the system was intended to give advisers clearer information, reduce duplication and make routine work easier to manage.

OneView is being developed internally, with further updates planned over the coming months. These are expected to include the integration of oversight and compliance functions.
