One Mortgage System (OMS) has appointed Melanie Spencer as its business partnership and growth director.

Spencer (pictured) has over 20 years’ experience in financial services, having played a leading role in both lending and intermediary firms. She joins OMS from finova where she progressed from group business development director and head of the MCI Mortgage Club to become a director of the business, driving it forward to help lenders use digital solutions to transform the way they both originate and service their mortgages.

Prior to finova, she was head of lender relations at Twenty7tec and held a number of roles at Personal Touch Financial Services spanning a 10-year period.

As a director of the business, Spencer will provide a vital role promoting the OMS platform whilst facilitating new lender onboarding, lender integrations and third party collaborations. She will use her extensive experience and network of contacts to find opportunities where the OMS system will make a difference for lenders, brokers and third parties; she will also onboard new clients.

Neal Jannels, managing director of One Mortgage System (OMS), said: “In what remains a transitional time for the mortgage market, it’s essential for tech providers to demonstrate their ongoing value, expertise and support network for all their customers. At OMS, we are focused on ensuring that we have the right infrastructure in place to deliver the best possible service levels at all times.

“Mel comes with a huge amount of experience and in-depth understanding of all the unique components across both lenders and the intermediary mortgage market and I’m sure that she will prove a huge asset to the business and play a key role in our ambitious growth strategy.”

Melanie Spencer, business partnership and growth director at One Mortgage System (OMS), added: “I have been closely following the progress made by OMS over the past 12 to 18 months and this represents an exciting opportunity to join such a forward-thinking business which is on such a positive growth trajectory.

“OMS has already achieved so much, but the potential for growth is huge as they drive forward to be one of the leading CRM and mortgage origination firms in the mortgage industry.

“Having worked for both lending and intermediary firms, I am looking forward to helping OMS to really make a difference both for intermediaries, and with lenders in the mortgage origination space. Together I know we can really make our mark within this competitive arena.”
