Omni Protect appoints Richard Waters as head of strategic partnerships

Omni Protect, Fintel’s whole of market protection club, has announced the appointment of Richard Waters to the newly created position of head of strategic partnerships for protection and health.

Waters, previously head of protection distribution at HSBC Life, will focus upon driving new initiatives and partnerships for Omni Protect, whilst delivering improved customer outcomes through stronger adviser and provider partnerships.

During a tenure of more than three decades at HSBC Life, Waters held a number of senior sales, product management, and operational roles, working across the lending, protection, and health sectors.

Emma Vaughan, managing director of Omni Protect, commented: “Richard brings with him a wealth of experience and deep industry expertise from his time at HSBC, and we’re incredibly excited to welcome him to our ever-expanding team.

“His knowledge, insight, and passion for delivering strong partner relationships will be invaluable as we continue to grow and innovate within the protection market.

“We’re looking forward to the next chapter and the opportunities ahead with Richard on board.”

Waters added: “I’m excited to be joining Omni Protect at such an important time for the protection market.

“Throughout my career, I’ve always believed that the strongest partnerships are built on trust, collaboration, and a shared commitment to delivering better outcomes for customers.

“For me, strategic partnerships are about far more than commercial agreements. When advisers, providers, and technology partners work together with a common purpose, we can simplify customer journeys, improve access to protection, and help more families receive the financial support they need when it matters most.

“I’m looking forward to working with our partners across the industry, building lasting relationships, and helping Omni Protect continue to innovate and grow, always with customer outcomes at the heart of everything we do.”
