NLA extending advice line hours

The National Landlords Association (NLA) is extending the operating hours for its advice line.

The advice line will now be open later on Mondays, from 9am – 7pm (except Bank Holidays) to help landlords who are unable to call during normal working hours. It will continue to open from 9am – 5pm from Tuesday to Friday.

The NLA says landlords make over 800 calls per week to the advice line, with each call taking an average 13 minutes.

The most common reasons landlords call the advice line are with enquiries about tenancy deposit protection, troublesome tenants, use of a letting agent and HMO licensing.

Richard Price, the NLA’s director of operations, said: “The advice line is one of the core benefits of being a National Landlords Association member and it is now receiving more calls than ever from landlords seeking information on their lettings.
