Industry veteran Nigel Payne has joined specialist distributor TFC Homeloans as its managing director.

In his new role Payne (pictured) will work alongside Wayne Smethurst and Andrew Brown, the founders of TFC Homeloans, to grow the specialist distributor.

Payne has over 25 years’ mortgage market experience, including stints as managing director of The Mortgage Business and BM Solutions.

Smethurst said: “Nigel’s breadth of experience is unique and perfectly suited to TFC. He’s managed intermediary lenders and an insurance company, as well as launching a conveyancer into the broker market. He knows the lending and broker sectors inside out.”

Payne said: “It had to be something special to pull me back into a permanent role and TFC Homeloans is just that. It’s a solid, established business, trusted by both brokers and lenders, with an ambitious and hardworking management team already in place.

“I am massively excited about taking this successful firm forward, cementing TFC’s position as a leading distributor.”
