New Street Mortgages has selected Gateway, owned by SimplyBiz Group, as its new panel manager to look after all its valuations and its valuation process using the Quest platform.

Gateway manages a nationwide network of affiliated firms of Chartered Surveyors, alongside its own in-house surveying business, Sonas Surveyors.

David Finlay, distribution director at New Street Mortgages, said: “Following a robust review of our valuation requirements, we are delighted to have selected Gateway as our new panel manager.  The careful management of our valuation process is a crucial and an integral part of our mortgage lending business, and we were particularly impressed with Gateway’s attention to detail and its commitment to risk management.

“The senior management team at Gateway is highly experienced and well respected within the industry for its focus on quality and service delivery.”

Pete Hughes, managing director of Gateway, added: “We are thrilled to have been chosen by New Street to provide its valuation and panel management services.  As a director-led business we are committed to providing an exceptional level of service as well as a ‘can do’ approach to our clients’ requirements.

“This appointment follows a sustained and impressive growth phase of the business over the past 12 months and reflects the progress we have made in becoming a major provider of panel management and valuation services to the UK lending industry.”
