Market Harborough appoints deputy finance chief

Market Harborough Building Society has appointed Brad Nicholls as Deputy Chief Finance Officer as it continues to expand its specialist lending capabilities and enter new markets.

Nicholls (main picture) brings experience spanning finance, lending, savings, treasury and risk, having most recently served as Director of Strategic Finance at Newcastle Building Society.

He has previously held senior positions at Nottingham Building Society, Arrow Global and The Co-operative Bank.

Nicholls is already familiar with Market Harborough after spending a short period supporting the Society during 2025.

SUPPORTING GROWTH PLANS

The appointment comes as Market Harborough builds its specialist mortgage and savings businesses while investing in further growth opportunities.

Its recent expansion includes the launch of a motor finance proposition as the mutual seeks to diversify into new markets.

The Society said Nicholls’ experience would support its growth ambitions while helping it deliver long-term value for members, customers and intermediary partners.

Nicholls said: “I’m delighted to be joining Market Harborough Building Society at such an exciting point in its journey.

“Having previously had the opportunity to work alongside many colleagues across the organisation, I’ve seen first-hand the ambition, culture and commitment that make the Society such a special place to be.

“I look forward to helping maintain this momentum and creating lasting impact.”
