Key Retirement Group to hold roadshows with SMP

Key Retirement Group is expands its partnership with the Society of Mortgage Professionals.

The firm will be highlighting the growth opportunities in the equity release market as part of a series of six free roadshows across the country on the mortgage and protection market.

Key will focus on the core trends driving growth in the equity release market which hit a record £2.1 billion last year and outlining the benefits for clients of underwriting. Representatives from group companies including advisers Key Retirement and referral business Key Partnerships will also help advisers identify business opportunities whether they are directly advising clients or referring business to specialists.

Key’s presentation, Equity Release: the opportunity and the bigger picture, will be part of a programme including an FCA regulatory update as well as sessions on the mortgage and protection markets and the future for whole of life policies.

Dean Mirfin (pictured), technical director at Key Retirement, said: “The equity release market has broken through the £2 billion barrier for the first time and has more than doubled in value in just five years, highlighting how important property wealth now is for retirement planning. The SMP roadshows are an ideal platform for advisers to develop their businesses and hear from a wide range of market experts.”
