Joint MD appointed for HL Partnership and Mortgage Support Network

The managing director of Mortgage Support Network (MSN), Shaun Almond, has been appointed to the role of managing director of sister network HL Partnership (HLP) in addition to his current responsibilities.

HLP’s parent, Josewin, purchased MSN in July 2017 and the two networks already share compliance resources and training facilities in MSN’s new Leicester offices.

The appointment marks further collaboration between the two mortgage and protection networks.

Chris Tanner, HL Partnership’s CEO, argued that the move to appoint a joint managing director for both networks was vital to ensure that both networks coordinate better, while maintaining their individual identities.

He said: “Shaun has done a brilliant job at MSN and since its purchase has worked tirelessly with me and my team to seek out opportunities where we can cooperate for mutual advantage.

“It was therefore logical for Shaun to step up and take that philosophy to the next level, so that both networks can work even more closely ensuring our separate propositions are tuned for the maximum appeal to potential and existing appointed representatives.”

Almond (pictured) added: “I am delighted to be asked to take on this dual role. Mortgage and protection brokers do not always receive the respect and support they deserve in multi discipline networks.

“At MSN and HLP, we provide the support that they need to thrive, and the evidence is clear from the excellent results our ARs are producing right across the mortgage spectrum.”
