Helpline for Flatmate Day

Published on

Flatsharing website EasyRoommate.co.uk is operating the first dedicated hotline on 24 March to field questions from tenants and landlords looking for flatsharing advice.

The national hotline has been set up to coincide with EasyRoommate’s inaugural ‘Flatmate Day’ which celebrates the benefits of flatsharing and the lifestyle it offers.

Across the UK, there were 59,000 more people living in a flat or houseshare in 2010 than there were in 2007, according to EasyRoommate.co.uk.

Jonathan Moore, director of EasyRoommate.co.uk, said: “There is no doubt that flatsharing is becoming more and more popular in the current climate – it’s a great way to meet people and earn some additional income if you are a homeowner or landlord. First time buyers are also renting for longer in light of the mortgage drought and are using this as a way to save a deposit for their own property.
