Financial software consultancy Bluecoat Software has hired Gill Cardy as head of proposition.

She is tasked with further developing Bluecoat’s bespoke practice management system, FinPlan.

Cardy was previously at Professional Partnerships Ltd, the business she set up in 1998 to meet the need for high quality, fee-based comprehensive financial planning, working primarily with mass affluent clients to determine financial planning objectives and long term life goals.

She is fellow of the Personal Finance Society, a former member of the FSA’s Smaller Businesses Practitioner Panel, and a regular conference speaker.

Mark Skelding, managing director of Bluecoat Software, said: “Bluecoat has seen unrivalled business growth across the past couple of years and Gill’s appointment will help offer our broad range of clients some of the brightest and best thinking from one of the leading figures in the sector. I look forward to a very positive future working together.””
