Gen H has expanded its broker sales team with three new business development managers and an internal promotion as it looks to strengthen support for intermediaries across the UK.
The lender has appointed Joe Solomon, Lewis Banks and Lisa Taylor into newly created business development manager roles, while Olivia Sturla has been promoted to the newly created position of remote business development manager for Scotland and the North.
The move adds further resource to Gen H’s intermediary operation, with Solomon and Banks both joining the broker mainline to support the lender’s full intermediary panel.
Before joining Gen H, Solomon worked in SaaS and specialist lending, including two-and-a-half years in business development at Enra Specialist Finance.
Banks joins from Advise Wise, where he worked as a telephone business development manager. He has five years’ experience in financial services.
Taylor will oversee Gen H’s Midlands and East patch. She brings 30 years’ experience to the role, having previously worked at NatWest Intermediaries and HSBC.
At HSBC Intermediaries, she spent six years as a business development manager, before going on to serve for three years as a senior business development manager at HSBC Life.
Sturla joined Gen H in 2025 as a broker specialist and has now been promoted to take ownership of Scotland and the North. Her previous roles include positions as a consultant and mortgage advisor at Hamptons, Capital Private Finance and Alexander Hall.
Sara Palmer, sales and distribution director at Gen H, said: “Brokers provide an invaluable service in arranging more than 90% of mortgages in the UK. The housing market is complex and though there are more mortgage options available than ever, these products can be confusing and intimidating for borrowers – that’s what makes expert broker advice so important.
“I am thrilled to announce Gen H’s investment in our broker sales function. This is our way of saying that we see the important work our brokers are doing and that we are here to support them every step of the way.”
The appointments and promotion mark an expansion of Gen H’s field and remote sales coverage as lenders continue to invest in broker-facing teams to improve intermediary support and distribution reach.
