First direct has cut rates on over a third of its mortgage product range.

Cuts include the reduction of the rate on its 85% LTV five-year fixed rate limited edition fee free repayment mortgage by 0.5 percentage points to 4.49%.

Its 65% LTV two-year limited edition offset tracker is now at 1.58% + Bank Rate. It comes with a £1,499 arrangement fee.

Also at 65% LTV, first direct’s five-year limited edition fixed rate repayment mortgage is priced at 3.49% (again with a £1,499 booking fee).

Meanwhile, at 85% LTV, there is a two-year limited edition fee free repayment tracker at 2.99% + Bank Rate.

Richard Tolchard, senior mortgage product manager at first direct, said: “First direct has always been known for great customer service and we’re happy to help homeowners looking for a better deal by reducing the cost of some of our mortgages at a time when other household bills are rising.”””
