The Mortgage Advice Bureau Foundation has awarded its one-off £20,000 Extra Funding Grant to Exeter Leukaemia Fund.
The award marks three years of grant-giving by the Foundation, which has supported around 60 UK charities and raised more than £550,000 since launching in 2022.
Previous grant recipients were invited to apply for the anniversary funding, with five charities shortlisted. MAB colleagues and business partners then voted after watching videos submitted by the finalists.
Exeter Leukaemia Fund supports people affected by blood cancer and their families, providing counselling, wellbeing services, transport to treatment, accommodation and financial assistance without receiving government funding.
The charity was originally nominated for MAB Foundation support in 2024 by appointed representative firm The Mortgage Quarter, which has continued its involvement through a Charity of the Year partnership.

HOPE AND SUPPORT

Patients supported by ELF also described the difference its services had made. Natasha, who received support while undergoing treatment over Christmas, said the charity had “brought some magic back” for her family.
Marion said ELF’s transport service “removes the stress” of reaching hospital when she is unwell and means her daughter does not have to take time away from work.
