Countrywide Surveying Services to run new Leadership Development Programme

Published on

Countrywide Surveying Services (CSS) has chosen 15 aspiring leaders across the business to take part in a 12-month Leadership Development Programme (LDP).

The CSS Leadership Development Programme delivers a range of seminars and workshops tailored to supporting participants in their personal and professional development. In addition, the participants are provided with the opportunity to experience other areas of the business beyond their day-to-day role.

The structured classroom learning element of the programme is provided by Weston College, an Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ institution, and covers a variety of topics including understanding leadership, building resilience and how to motivate a team – amongst others.

Rebecca Freeman (pictured), director of field operations at Countrywide Surveying Services, said: “The aim of the programme is to not only strengthen personal leadership skills but to also nurture and encourage the potential of the participants. This year’s group are highly talented and ambitious, and we look forward to tracking their progression as they look to emulate the achievements of a number of our senior management team who also came through this incredibly important programme.”

Recent graduate of the programme, Luke Lawrence- Managing Surveyor, added: “I wanted to take part in the LDP to further develop my leadership skills and gain experience in different areas of the business. The training I have received via Weston College has been invaluable to my role. I feel that since I started the LDP a year ago, I have developed massively, not just within my role but also in my personal life. This is down to the training received in such areas as time management, conflict resolution and change.”

“Now that my LDP journey has come to an end, I want to keep progressing and gaining experience/knowledge around the whole business. I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
