Bruton Knowles strengthens Midlands valuation team with senior appointment

Bruton Knowles has appointed Jimmy James as an associate in its national valuation team, covering Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes and the wider Midlands.

James (pictured) brings more than 20 years’ experience advising on the valuation of commercial, industrial and residential property.

He joins the national chartered surveyor from Kirkby Diamond, where he provided valuation advice for loan security purposes across the commercial, industrial and residential sectors.

Bruton Knowles is an independent chartered surveying firm providing property advice across valuation, commercial property, utilities and infrastructure, compulsory purchase and land rights.

Before joining Kirkby Diamond, James worked at Aitchison Raffety as a commercial valuation surveyor, advising clients on a range of property matters.

He holds a BSc (Hons) degree in land management and is a qualified MRICS surveyor and RICS registered valuer.

In his new role, James will provide valuation advice across commercial, industrial and residential property, including development sites. His work will have a particular focus on loan security valuations for high street lenders.

Bruton Knowles said the appointment formed part of its continued investment in its national valuation capability amid strong demand for specialist valuation advice across the UK property market.

James said: “Bruton Knowles has a strong reputation in the market and a clear focus on delivering high-quality, practical advice to clients.”

James Bailey, managing partner at Bruton Knowles, said: “Jimmy brings strong technical knowledge, a detailed understanding of the valuation process and significant experience across a range of property sectors.

“His appointment adds further depth to our valuation team and supports our continued focus on providing clients with clear, reliable and commercially relevant advice.”

Alongside his surveying career, James previously rode under National Hunt racing rules as a conditional jockey.
