Aldermore appoints non-exec

Aldermore has appointed Jayne Almond as a non-executive director.

Almond has been managing director of Barclays/Woolwich mortgage business before leaving to found specialist mortgage business Stonehaven

Before joining Barclays she also had a number of senior roles at Lloyds TSB including group marketing director, director of strategy for retail banking and managing director of European internet banking

She currently serves on the Competition Commission and is due to become an external member of the Council of Oxford University
