Air to host later life lending growth summit

Air will host a Growth Summit next week to help advisers respond to change in the later life lending market.

The intermediary support services brand said the event would focus on regulatory and market developments, as well as practical ways for advisers to grow their businesses and improve client outcomes.

The summit will take place at Lumiere London on Tuesday 12 May 2026, from 8.30am to 3.00pm.

It will include interactive sessions and panel discussions covering the scale of the later life lending opportunity, changing customer needs, the regulatory backdrop and the role of mortgage and wealth advisers in meeting demand.

Speakers will include Will Hale, chief executive of Air, Phil Wickenden, founder and chief executive of Ad Lucem, and Stephanie Charman, chief executive of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries.

Other sessions will include more2life on referral pathways and positioning as a later life lending specialist, Legal & General on questioning techniques, and a Canada Life panel on the implications of longer life expectancy for client needs.

Livemore will cover rising midlife borrowing complexity and the use of specialist tools, while Equilaw will provide an update on conveyancing in the later life lending sector. An underwriting panel will also answer questions on managing complexity in the current market.

Hale said: “The later life lending market is going through a period of significant regulatory and structural change, and advisers are operating in an increasingly complex environment where expectations, customer demand and product choice are all evolving at pace.

“The Growth Summit is designed to give advisers clarity, confidence and practical insight into how they respond to that change, while also helping them unlock the growth opportunities available in this exciting part of the market.

“Crucially, the day will focus on real-world application. Alongside contributions from senior leaders across lenders and trade bodies, the voice of our members will feature more prominently than ever before with advisers sharing their experiences of successfully building sustainable and scalable later life lending businesses.”

The event is free to attend and open to all advisers. Register here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/air-growth-summit-tickets-1984611564614
