Virgin Money cuts new business rates and ups buy-to-let PT rates

Virgin Money is to reduce a range of purchase and remortgage fixed rates while increasing selected buy-to-let product transfer rates.

The changes will take effect on Wednesday 5 August.

PURCHASE AND REMORTGAGE

Two-year purchase fixed rates will be reduced by up to 0.07%, while five-year fixed rates will fall by up to 0.06%.

Shared ownership fixed rates will be cut by up to 0.07%.

For remortgage customers, two-year fixed rates will be reduced by up to 0.06% and five-year fixed rates by up to 0.08%.

BUY-TO-LET PRODUCT TRANSFERS

Selected two-year and three-year buy-to-let product transfer fixed rates will rise by up to 0.15%.

Selected five-year buy-to-let product transfer fixed rates will be increased by up to 0.10%.
