Valuation fees to be refunded by Halifax Intermediaries

Halifax Intermediaries is to refund valuation fees to first-time buyers and home movers.

Meanwhile, Halifax Intermediaries has also cut rates for first-time buyers and home movers by up to 0.40 percentage points.

The refund valuation is available on two-year no product fee fixed products up to 85% LTV for first-time buyers and home movers. It includes no product fee new build products up to 80% LTV for first-time buyers and home movers.

Rate changes to home mover products and rate reductions for first time buyers – these include:

  • 0-60%% LTV 2 year fixed rate products have been reduced by 0.10 percentage points for home movers and up to 0.35 percentage points for first-time buyers. Rates now include 1.44% (£999 fee), and 1.84% (no fee) including the Refund of valuation offer
  • Further rate reductions up to and including 90% LTV 2 year home mover and first-time buyer products

Help to Buy Mortgage Guarantee Scheme products reduced

  • 90-95% LTV 2 year fixed Help to Buy Mortgage Guarantee Scheme products for home movers and first-time buyers have been reduced by 0.40 percentage points. Rates now include 4.09% (£999 fee) and 4.49% (no fee)

Two-year tracker rates for home mover and first time buyer products

  • 0-60% LTV 2 year tracker rate products have been reduced by 0.10 percentage points for home movers and 0.35 percentage points for first-time buyers with rate now 1.14% (£999 fee)
  • 0-75% LTV 2 year tracker rate products have been reduced by 0.10 percentage points for home movers and 0.35 percentage points for first-time buyers with rate now 1.44% (£999 fee)
  • 75-80% LTV 2 year tracker rate products have been reduced by 0.10 percentage points for home movers and 0.30 percentage points for first-time buyers with rate now 1.74% (£999 fee)
  • 80-85% LTV 2 year tracker rate products have been reduced by 0.05 percentage points for home movers and 0.35 percentage points for first-time buyers with rate now 1.84% (£999 fee)

“These latest intermediary rate cuts show that we remain committed to helping customers save money by taking out a mortgage with Halifax.”
