Two new faces at Shawbrook

Published on

The commercial mortgages division at Shawbrook Bank has appointed Sarah Linley and Adrian Boxall to its lending team.

Linley has been appointed as lending officer, while Boxall joins the team as a lending manager.

Linley will be liaising with brokers and solicitors on cases in order to assist the lending managers in seeing loans through to completion, and to keep all relevant parties informed in driving forward applications. She has over 10 years’ experience as a mortgage broker at an estate agent in London. Her role involved packaging the mortgage applications from an in-house independent mortgage broker and liaising with other agents, surveyors, solicitors, lenders and clients. She has also worked for property management company DTZ.

She said: “Coming from a mortgage broker background, I am excited to see where all the paperwork I previously dealt with ends up. I am looking forward to working from the other end of the industry. I chose Shawbrook because of the passion for the industry shown when I met the team for the first time.”

As a lending manager, Boxall’s new role will be focused on assessing credit and underwriting investment property lending applications submitted to the bank by its accredited brokers.

He joins Shawbrook with more than 26 years’ experience at HSBC Bank plc, where he covered a variety of positions across retail branch banking, residential mortgage advice, investment property lending and commercial management for trading businesses.

Boxall said: “I was attracted to Shawbrook by the fact it is a relatively new, innovative and fast growing bank which prides itself on providing a customer-focused service. I’m excited about being part of a more specialist lender and I’m looking forward to seeing the lending market from this different perspective.”

Karen Bennett, sales and marketing director of commercial mortgages at Shawbrook Bank, said: “I am pleased to announce Sarah and Adrian as two new additions to our commercial mortgages’ lending division, who will bring great value to our already strong offering and further enhance the support we offer to our broker partners.

“We always endeavour to find the very best candidates to join our team and I look forward to the wealth of experience and expertise both members will bring to their roles.”
