Twenty7tec launches Steppl portal to streamline adviser-client communication

Published on

Twenty7tec has launched Steppl, an AI-ready client engagement platform designed to reduce administration and give clients a single place to manage their digital relationship with an adviser.

The launch follows research from the Open Property Data Association which found that 62.3% of homebuyers had been asked to provide the same information or documents more than once.

The research also found that 40.6% regarded communication between stakeholders as the most difficult part of buying a home, while 39.5% said chasing for updates made the experience worse.

Steppl allows advice firms to configure client journeys covering onboarding and ongoing engagement. Companies can tailor fact finds, stages and tasks to their existing processes, while advisers remain at the centre of the client relationship.

Additional services, including credit information, digital identity and liveness verification, and document scanning, can be licensed separately and incorporated into the platform.

James Tucker (pictured), chief executive of Twenty7tec, said: “Clients don’t see a mortgage, pension or protection need as a collection of different systems and processes. They see one relationship with their adviser, and the technology around that relationship should feel just as joined up.

“Steppl gives clients somewhere they can come back to and understand what they have with their adviser, what is happening now and what they need to do next. For the firm, it means collecting information more intelligently, reducing repetition and having a much clearer view of the client.

“The aim isn’t to digitise the adviser out of the process. It’s the opposite.

“If technology can take care of more of the collecting, chasing and administration, advisers have more time for the conversations where their expertise matters.”

Steppl will connect with Twenty7tec’s wider technology ecosystem, including ADVICE and RESEARCH. The integration is intended to allow information collected from clients to flow into the broader advice process instead of remaining in a separate system.
