TRM adds to PMI team with supervision & development manager hire

Published on

The Right Mortgage & Protection Network has appointed Gemma Penkethman as PMI supervision & development manager.

The network said the appointment forms part of its broader push to grow its presence in the PMI market, where it believes there is room for more specialist support for intermediary firms.

Penkethman (main picture) will oversee PMI firm supervisors and trainees, while also supporting training and development across the proposition.

Her role will include coaching and monitoring advisers, carrying out development calls, supporting training and competence programmes, assisting with inductions and training delivery, and contributing to PMI-related projects including system implementation.

She joins with more than 10 years of experience in the PMI sector, having worked both as a business development manager and as an adviser.

Penkethman previously held roles at Bupa and AXA Health, where she worked with advisers and brokerages of varying sizes. Earlier in her career, she was senior employee benefits consultant at Everywhen, advising on PMI, IPMI, dental and cash plans.

She later moved into a management role there, overseeing a large renewal portfolio and supporting team development.

The appointment follows TRM’s recent hiring of Sandra Fuelle as insurance development manager, in another move aimed at expanding its specialist PMI offering.

Amy Wilson, head of insurance at TRM, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Gemma to the team at an important time for our PMI and Healthcare proposition.

“Her appointment reflects our continued growth in this space and our commitment to building a specialist division that supports advisers in delivering high-quality PMI advice.

“With recent strategic hires and ongoing investment, we are focused on addressing the clear opportunity within the intermediary market for a stronger, more specialist PMI offering, and Gemma will play a key role in helping us, and our member firms, achieve this.”

Penkethman said: “I am excited to be joining TRM to support the further growth of its PMI proposition.

“I look forward to supporting advisers and contributing to the continued development of this specialist area.”
