Stonebridge appoints former adviser to expand recruitment service

Stonebridge has appointed Hannah Tee to help expand its adviser recruitment service for network members.

The service, launched in 2024, focuses on finding advisers for existing appointed representative firms seeking to expand.

Stonebridge is handling 130 vacancies across its network, with the recruitment costs met by the company rather than its member firms.

Tee (pictured) is a CeMAP-qualified former mortgage and protection adviser. She began her career in insurance more than a decade ago before moving into mortgage advice, most recently working with Visionary Finance and Nationwide.

Her experience is expected to help Stonebridge identify candidates suited to the different business models, working arrangements and levels of support offered by its member firms. The company said experienced advisers who are comfortable generating their own leads were in particularly short supply.

Tee said: “The right advice at the right time can genuinely change outcomes for customers, and I’ve seen first-hand how the best advisers achieve that.

“Stonebridge stood out because of its reputation in the market, and I’m going to be able to bring together everything I’ve learned to help strengthen its adviser community.

“It felt like a natural step. Stonebridge has enormous reach, and recruiting advisers isn’t easy.

“The most experienced of them are hard to find, and there’s so much more to finding the right fit for a candidate and an AR than just qualifications.”

Rob Clifford, chief executive at Stonebridge, added: “The internal recruitment service is provided to our members with all costs met by the network, so not only do our AR firms avoid pricey recruitment agency fees, but they also get experienced individuals, employed by Stonebridge, recruiting advisers for them.

“Hannah has been there and done it, and she’s a fantastic addition to the team.”
