Solent Mortgage Services (SMS) has added Aldermore to its lending panel.

Ian Balfour, CEO at the specialist intermediary distributor, said Aldermore is a key player in the post credit crunch market.

He said: “We are delighted to welcome Aldermore to our lending panel. Aldermore was among those few new lenders who launched their propositions in the teeth of the worst industry conditions we had faced in 30 years.

“Their determination to provide alternative financing opportunities to the intermediary market deserves the thanks of the whole broking community. They continue to forge new relationships and bring new products to market and we are thrilled that they have agreed to this new partnership.”

Charles Haresnape (pictured), managing director of Aldermore Residential Mortgages, added: “SMS has an enviable reputation of providing the best of the lending market to intermediaries, built up over a number of years.

“We look forward to working with them and their introducers, particularly now as the market is showing signs of sustained growth.”
