Skipton appoints telephone BDM

Skipton Building Society for Intermediaries has announced the appointment of Craig Ebbrell to its team of telephone business development managers (BDM).

Ebbrell (pictured) joined the Society over 10 years ago where he began his career in the customer delivery team before moving over to operational support team where he looked after supporting brokers with any technical queries on Emortgages systems.

As part of the role Ebbrell has also been involved in testing many of Skipton’s projects including the introduction AIV system and more recently the extension of the period Skipton allows brokers to submit product transfers to six months.

Ebbrell will be replacing Emma Wilkinson, who has been promoted to field BDM for heartlands west.

He said: “I am looking forward to getting to know all the brokers in my area being able to create and grow new relationships with people both in and out of Skipton. I hope to do this whilst promoting all things great about Skipton whilst also bringing along my knowledge of how things happen in the background to provide the excellent service that we do.

“My goal for the next 12 months is to have a firm understanding of what really matters to the brokers in my areas. I also want to want to share as much knowledge as I can with my colleagues around how the system works which will hopefully give them the tools to have better conversations with brokers and make their experience as easy going as they can.”

Jenny Goodall, Skipton business development manager, added: “I’m excited to have Craig as a new telephone BDM as he brings a great level of technical skill and expertise to the team which will give us another dimension of support for our brokers”
