SHIP welcomes Defaqto’s lifetime mortgage research

Equity release trade body SHIP has responded to Defaqto’s analysis of lifetime mortgages and long-term fixed rate mortgages.

Defaqto found that the gap between interest rates charged by lifetime mortgages and long term fixed rate residential mortgages has widened “considerably”” over the last two years.
