Pivotal appoints Jon Round as chair of regulated advice firm

Published on

Pivotal has appointed Jon Round as chair of the board of Pivotal Financial Limited, the group’s FCA-regulated, directly authorised firm.

Round (pictured) has more than three decades’ experience in the UK mortgage and financial services sector and will also chair Pivotal Financial Limited’s risk and audit committee.

Pivotal Financial Limited sits at the centre of Pivotal’s regulated advisory operations, providing the governance framework for the group’s appointed representative network of specialist advisers.

The network covers residential mortgages, adverse credit, later life lending, second charge lending, business finance, protection and general insurance.

Pivotal said Round would provide independent oversight, regulatory expertise and strategic advice to the leadership team.

Round has held senior roles across finance, compliance and relationship development. More recently, he led the growth of PRIMIS Mortgage Network and TMA Mortgage Club into one of the UK’s largest adviser communities.

Mayank Prakash, group chief executive officer of Pivotal, said: “Jon’s appointment as chair of Pivotal Financial Limited marks the start of our DA consolidation journey.

“Jon brings an extraordinary depth of experience from across the UK mortgage and financial services advisory landscape, and his longstanding connection to LSL, provides him with genuine insight into the Pivotal story and the ambitions that drive us.

“Chris Wallis, PFL’s CEO, and I are delighted to welcome Jon and look forward to working together and leveraging his deep industry knowledge, proven people leadership capabilities and familiarity with the regulatory landscape.”

Round added: “Pivotal has built something truly impressive in a short period of time – a growing, ambitious and entrepreneurial group of specialist advisers that puts adviser success and outstanding client outcomes at its heart.

“I have followed the Group’s development with great admiration, and I am delighted to be joining as chair of Pivotal Financial Limited at such an exciting moment. I look forward to working closely with Mayank, Chris and the wider Pivotal team as the Group continues to go from strength to strength.”
