Dragonfly Property Finance

Dragonfly Property Finance has appointed Maria Magnussen to the position of senior business development Manager.

She joins from SPF Private Clients where she was a director and the top broker for two years in a row. She will report into Mark Posniak whose role has been expanded from head of marketing and operations to head of sales and marketing.

Prior to SPF, which she joined in 2001, Magnussen worked as a broker at John Charcol and Woolwich Property Services.

She said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Dragonfly. Since they started in 2009, Dragonfly have raised the bar in the world of short-term finance and continue to drive the sector forward. There’s a huge amount of energy and innovation within the short-term finance industry and I can’t wait to experience it first hand.”

Posniak added: “Maria is well-connected, very experienced and an extremely popular person in the industry and we are delighted that she has chosen to join Dragonfly. The short-term finance sector continues to grow at a rate of knots and we want to position ourselves to make the most of this growth. Hiring the industry’s best will enable us to do just that.”

Jonathan Samuels, CEO, Dragonfly Property Finance, said: “Maria is a fantastic addition to the Dragonfly team, while Mark’s new role and extra responsibility reflects the impact he has made at the company. Without his drive, contacts and forensic knowledge of the sector, there’s no way we would be the company we are. Looking forward, we’ve got our eyes set on making 2013 our best year yet and have set some very big targets. To ensure we meet them we will be announcing further strong hires in the weeks and months ahead.”
