Movera reports rise in completions as expansion gathers pace

Home moving group Movera has reported a sharp increase in activity across its conveyancing businesses alongside wider operational growth.

The firm recorded a 33% year-on-year increase in sale and purchase completions across its conveyancing arms, ONP Solicitors and Cavendish, during 2025.

Within its remortgage division, ONP Solicitors also reached a milestone, completing 5,000 cases in a single day on two separate occasions.

The group has expanded its workforce to support this growth, recruiting more than 150 new employees over the year. Total headcount now exceeds 650, including close to 100 conveyancers and a newly established Know Your Client team focused on source of funds checks and transaction processing.

Movera, which also includes panel management business LMS, has coupled this recruitment drive with a programme of regional expansion and operational changes.

Nick Hale, chief executive at Movera, said: “This growth is the result of ongoing investment in people, processes and technology. Our priority has been to increase capacity without compromising service as we work hard to achieve our ultimate goal – improving the home-moving journey for our people, partners and clients.

“Last year in the UK, purchase transactions averaged 123 days from instruction to completion according to the latest data from Landmark Information Group.

“At Movera we’re determined to overhaul outdated processes and change the home buying experience for the better, cutting that transaction time and making moving house a joy again, not a chore.”

The business has also been working with Connells Group and iamproperty to accelerate transaction timelines, including the creation of specialist teams spanning the organisations.

This collaboration has enabled a reported transaction time of three days between receipt of draft contract pack and completion in certain cases.

Hale said: “Our partnership with Connells and iamproperty clearly demonstrates how much of the transaction process – and its efficiency – is within our control.

“Going into 2026, we are continuing to innovate and build partnerships with other parties in the transaction process so that we can collectively improve the home moving journey to the benefit of us all.”

During 2025, the group also undertook two rebrands, updating Cavendish and its conveyancing referral portal CAL, bringing its platforms under a unified structure with Broker Conveyancing and Agent Conveyancing as product brands.

Expansion of its physical footprint has accompanied this activity, with increased floorspace in central London, a new ONP Solicitors office in Cardiff opened in 2025 and subsequently upsized in 2026, and a relocation to larger premises in Leeds.

The group now operates seven brands across five UK hubs.
