New London BDM for Berkeley Alexander

Berkeley Alexander has announced the promotion of James Munro to business development manager (BDM).

Munro (pictured) joined the general insurance provider’s new business team in 2012, dealing with broker enquiries, supplying quotes, and getting cases on-risk. Most recently he’s been in the in-house specialist team for high net worth business.

His appointment is a new role, and will see him providing BDM support to advisers in and around London. He’ll also be providing a special agent management facility to any brokers across the UK who have niche or specialist requirements.

Geoff Hall, managing director of Berkeley Alexander, said: “James has been a fantastic asset to the BA team, and I’m delighted to announce this well deserved promotion. It’s an exciting new role for him and an important development for the business, as we further our commitment to support our intermediary partners around the UK with the very best products and services.

“Since the launch of our HNW service earlier this year, we’ve seen significant growth in sales, particularly in the Greater London area. The creation of James’s BDM role is a direct response to this success, and he’ll now be able to provide his specialist skills face-to-face.”
