Molo strengthens broker support with new BDM appointment and internal promotion

Published on

Molo has expanded its distribution team with the appointment of Ben Saffery as business development manager for South London and the South East, alongside the promotion of Richard Cunningham to a field-based BDM role.

The specialist mortgage lender, which focuses on UK and overseas landlords, said the moves form part of its ongoing investment in supporting intermediary partners across the country.

Saffery (pictured) joins Molo with more than five years’ experience in complex buy-to-let lending, having held roles at Keystone Property Finance and Vanquis Bank.

His background spans both business development and completions and case management, giving him experience across the full mortgage process and complex lending scenarios.

In his new role, Saffery will work with brokers across South London and the South East, helping them place cases and supporting a range of specialist lending requirements.

At the same time, Richard Cunningham has been promoted from telephone business development manager to field-based business development manager. He will now be responsible for the East and West Midlands and South Wales region.

Martin Sims, distribution director at Molo, said: “We are pleased to welcome Ben to the team. His experience in complex BTL and his understanding of the full case journey will be a real asset to our intermediary partners.

“As demand continues to grow across specialist areas such as semi-commercial and mixed-use lending, it is important that we invest in the right people to ensure brokers are supported in placing more complex cases.”

Saffery added: “I am excited to be joining a lender that demonstrates a real willingness to lend, particularly within the complex BTL space.

“I am really looking forward to working closely with brokers to support their clients with flexible, practical solutions.”

The appointments expand Molo’s regional broker support network as the lender continues to focus on specialist buy-to-let and complex property lending.
