Mint Property Finance makes senior BDM appointment

Mint Property Finance has expanded its sales team with the appointment of Simon Micklethwaite as senior business development manager.

Joining from Reward Finance Group, Micklethwaite (pictured) brings over 25 years’ finance industry experience to the specialist lender.

His career began at HSBC where he spent 18 years in various roles including international Business banking manager. He then moved to Roma Finance as a BDM, before stints at both Revverbank and Reward Finance Group where he was business development director for Yorkshire.

In his new role at Mint, Micklethwaite will be responsible for supporting the firm’s growth plans by establishing and growing relationships with new Brokers and professional introducers.

The hire follows the appointment of Steve Smith as head of sales two months ago.

Smith said: “I am delighted to welcome Simon to the team. I have known Simon for many years, and he brings with him a wealth of relevant industry experience and knowledge.

I know he will thrive in our relationship-driven, supportive environment and am very happy he has chosen us for the next successful stage in his career.”

Micklethwaite added: “I am really looking forward to helping Mint grow its business from what is already a strong base. I am very much looking forward to working with Steve again and rekindling some fantastic working relationships in the bridging and development sector.”
