Metro Bank has expanded its specialist mortgage team with a series of appointments and promotions designed to strengthen broker relationships and support continued lending growth.
The changes include an expanded role for Charles Morley (main picture), who will now oversee the entire mortgage journey after being appointed Director of Mortgage Distribution, Operations and Servicing.
The move brings mortgage distribution, operations and servicing under a single leadership structure, covering the process from initial broker enquiry through to completion and redemption.
The lender said the changes are intended to enhance service delivery and create a more joined-up experience for intermediary partners and borrowers.
PROMOTIONS AND APPOINTMENTS

Within the intermediary team, Neil McLeod has been promoted from regional sales manager to national key account manager. McLeod, who joined Metro Bank in 2018 and has almost two decades of industry experience, will focus on strengthening relationships with mortgage networks and clubs.

Dean Linklater has been appointed regional sales manager for the North of England. With more than 20 years’ experience across mortgages and specialist lending, he will support brokers across the region and help develop Metro Bank’s intermediary presence.
The lender has also recruited Nicola Moore as business development manager and Emma Dudley as telephone business development manager.

Moore joins from 3 Sixty Financial Solutions and will focus on supporting brokers across Yorkshire and the North East.
Dudley joins from Coastway Financial, where she worked as a self-employed mortgage and protection adviser and will provide remote support to intermediary partners nationwide.

The appointments come as lenders continue to invest in intermediary-facing teams amid growing competition for specialist lending business and increasing demand for complex case expertise.
END-TO-END JOURNEY
Charles Morley said: “Our mortgage team is focused on building strong relationships and delivering for our clients.
“We’re able to provide a complete, end-to-end customer journey, combined with a shared commitment for excellent service and delivery at every point.”

Joanne Hollins, head of intermediary and direct mortgages at Metro Bank, added: “I’m delighted to welcome Nicola and Emma to the team, and Dean and Neil on their new roles supporting broker relationships, allowing brokers to manage complexity with confidence on behalf of their customers.”
The lender said the strengthened team will help support its ambitions within the specialist mortgage market while maintaining a strong focus on service and intermediary partnerships.
