London-based high net worth property finance firm MCIFA has appointed Nick Rees as a senior partner and director of private clients.

Rees (pictured) was previously senior partner at mortgage broker John Charcol. He has 23 years’ experience in financial services, including helping set up International Clients at Savills Private Finance.

Also joining Rees at MCIFA are relationship manager, Shirin Uma, and client account manager, Anna Wray. Uma has 13 years’ experience in the property field and will head up MCIFA’s Partnership Program (sic).

Wray also joins from John Charcol where she worked since early 2008.

Paul Munford, CEO of MCIFA, said: “By rebranding and adding some of the industry’s biggest hitters, we are focused on maintaining our position as the premier London property financiers for the high net worth, primarily through investment and development finance, and short-term loans.

“Nick, Shirin and Anna are all very experienced operators and I have no doubt that they will help take MCIFA to the next level and deliver an unrivalled service to our clients.”

Rees said: “After seven enjoyable and productive years at Charcol, I felt that joining MCIFA was the next logical step in my development. MCIFA is renowned in the industry for its focus on the high net worth and their more complex deal requirements, while Paul has big plans for the company, as reflected in the rebrand and the appointments of Shirin and Anna.

“I look forward to working with Paul and the team to provide an even stronger proposition for MCIFA’s clients and partners in the years ahead.”
