Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB) has revealed the winners of its 2014 mortgage lending awards.

The ceremony took place at its annual conference held at The Curve in Leicester.

Halifax took the ‘Best Lender for Service’, ‘Best New Build Lender’ and ‘Best Overall Intermediary Lender’ awards.

Meanwhile, Nationwide was named ‘Best First Time Buyer Lender’ and Jayne Lawrence from the Nationwide went away with ‘Best Business Development Manager’.

BM Solutions was also among the successful lenders, securing the award of ‘Best Specialist Lender’. Leeds Building Society won ‘Best Regional Lender’.

Peter Brodnicki, chief executive of Mortgage Advice Bureau, said: “The successful lenders fully deserve this recognition for the outstanding services they have provided to intermediaries and consumers over the last year. MAB would like to congratulate all of our winners who are all making the most of the improving market conditions.

“2013 ended on a really positive note with a strong level of activity in the market, and we anticipate further lending growth and product innovation as the recovery continues in 2014.”
