LV= joins Connect Mortgages’ GI panel

Published on

LV= General Insurance (LV= GI) has become the latest insurer to join the Connect Mortgages panel of general insurance providers.

As part of this new partnership, Connect advisers will be able to offer LV= GI products, including buildings, contents and landlord insurance to their clients as part of fully protecting their mortgage.

Two buildings and contents insurance products will be available – Home Platinum and Home Gold, which provide cover up to £1.5m for rebuilding costs. Both policies also include cover for trace and access as standard.

The landlord insurance product will provide buildings and contents cover for rental properties, with optional extras such as home emergency cover and legal expenses.

Alongside access to products from LV= GI, advisers will be able to generate a home insurance quote in minutes using SmartQuote. The tool works by combining data points from various public sources to generate a quote, cutting down on the number of questions advisers need to ask, making the process quicker and reducing the risk of non-disclosure.

A dedicated GI Learning & Development team will also be on hand to help Connect advisers with workshops, webinars and specialist training to support them with the products.

Sarah Watts, head of intermediary at LV= General Insurance, said: “We’re delighted to feature on the Connect panel of general insurers, to help advisers provide the right insurance for their clients and their homes. Our aim is to make it as easy as possible for advisers to do business with us and I’m incredibly excited about the journey ahead with Connect.

“We hope our focus on great value, service and cover alongside support, guidance and an easy quote journey provides advisers will everything they need for themselves and their clients.”

Jane Benjamin from Connect added: “We’re thrilled to be adding LV= General Insurance onto our Connect Panel as a Protection Partner. We’re confident that their simple and quick SmartQuote solution will reduce both the complexities and amount of time it takes for advisers to offer home insurance.

“With a combination of the LV= team, their capabilities and products it’s a great proposition for our advisers to discuss with their clients.”
