LiveMore launches mortgage podcast for brokers and advisers

LiveMore has launched a podcast series covering developments in the specialist and later-life lending markets.

The lender said Living More, which is aimed at brokers and advisers, would feature conversations with executives from the company and figures from the wider mortgage industry.

The series forms part of a new content hub on LiveMore’s website, bringing together its podcasts, industry analysis, company news and webinars.

Episodes will examine the lender’s development from its original focus on specialist lending to its more recent investment in technology. The discussions will also address the difficulties faced by borrowers who do not meet the lending criteria of high-street banks and building societies.

Future guests will include Charles Roe, who was appointed as an industry adviser last month. Roe previously held roles at the Financial Conduct Authority and UK Finance.

Video recordings of the episodes will be available through the insights section of LiveMore’s website.

Leon Diamond (pictured), chief executive at LiveMore, said: “Our new podcast is an exciting next step in LiveMore’s mission to unlock more options for consumers, regardless of what stage of life they have reached.

“I was able to kickstart the podcast by talking to our chief marketing officer, Dan Broadwood, about the journey of starting LiveMore and its founding goals – saying yes to more borrowers who are coming up against restrictive criteria from mainstream lenders.

“Having all our best content in one easily accessible place also provides more information to brokers about how our different solutions can help cases that don’t fit the traditional image of the ideal borrower.”

LiveMore recently lowered its minimum borrowing age to 40, saying the change reflected the evolving financial circumstances of borrowers in midlife.

The lender said the move would give brokers more flexibility when advising customers with complex financial histories and changing affordability needs.
