LifeSearch has partnered with money management app Snoop to give users access to life insurance quotes and protection advice.
Users can obtain quotes through the app and buy a policy online through a LifeSearch-powered service. Those who need advice or have more complex queries will be directed to the firm’s specialist protection advisers.
The agreement forms part of LifeSearch’s efforts to reach consumers who might otherwise overlook protection insurance by making cover available through financial tools they already use.
Snoop uses open banking to connect to users’ bank accounts and credit cards, providing a single view of their spending. Its technology analyses the data to identify subscriptions, renewals and bills where savings may be available.
Ed Axon, chief growth officer at LifeSearch, said: “Snoop’s users are already thinking proactively about their finances, which makes this a natural fit. Too many people put off protecting their income or their family financially because it feels complicated or time-consuming.
“By making cover accessible right where people are already managing their money, we’re removing that friction – and for anyone who needs a helping hand, our advisers are there too.”
The partnership extends Snoop’s offering beyond spending and saving tools to include access to financial protection.
Paul Lloyd, chief marketing officer at Snoop, said: “People come to Snoop because they want a clearer view of their money and practical ways to improve their financial position.
“Protection has an important role to play in that, but too often it feels complicated, disconnected or easy to put off.
“Working with LifeSearch means we can bring protection into the everyday money-management journey, helping users understand their options and take action in a simple, trusted way.”
