HSBC UK will reduce rates across a range of residential and buy-to-let mortgages from 11 August.
The changes cover products for first-time buyers, home movers and remortgage customers, including mortgages on properties with an A or B energy performance certificate.
Reductions will apply to selected two-year and five-year fixed rates at loan-to-values ranging from 60% to 95%.
First-time buyer changes include fee-saver, standard, high-value and Premier products. The affected home mover range also includes fee-saver, standard, high-value and Premier mortgages.
HSBC is cutting selected remortgage rates at 60%, 70% and 75% LTV, including fee-saver, standard, high-value, Premier and cashback products.
BUY-TO-LET CHANGES
The lender will reduce rates on selected buy-to-let remortgage products at 60%, 65% and 75% LTV.
These include two-year and five-year standard products, standard products carrying a £3,999 fee, five-year fee-saver mortgages and selected Premier deals. Reductions will also be made to buy-to-let products for properties with an A or B energy performance certificate.
Selected international residential and buy-to-let rates will also be reduced. International residential products are affected at 60%, 70% and 75% LTV, while international buy-to-let changes apply at 60%, 65% and 75% LTV.
HSBC said its Premier mortgage rates were available only to existing HSBC Premier current account holders.
Applications using existing product codes must be submitted in full by midnight on 10 August. Supporting evidence and documentation must be supplied within 30 calendar days of submission.
The lender’s product finder and mortgage sourcing systems will be updated on 11 August.
