Hertfordshire GI broker acquired

General insurance broker Libra Insurance Services has been acquired by consultancy firm Jelf.

Jelf, which provides a broad range of insurance, financial services and employee benefit services to corporates and individuals, bought the Bushey-based broker for an undisclosed sum. 

All the employees, including both of the active directors of Libra who have built the business since the early 1980’s, are remaining with the business.

Libra is particularly strong in the SME commercial insurance sector,

The FCA has granted approval for the change of control.
