Complete FS held its 11th annual Expo with lender sponsors and over 100 intermediaries who came to the Meon Valley Golf & Country Club, near Southampton last week.

Main sponsors included Masthaven Bridging, GE Money, iress, Interbay, Kent Reliance, Hodge Lifetime, Castle Trust, Dudley Building Society, Precise Mortgages, Saffron Building Society and Shawbrook Bank.

A special award was presented to Clive Siddall, an adviser from Carshalton, who had provided the first application that Complete handled in 1993.

Siddall said: “Complete has always been a great company to work with. The service has always been great with access to good products and placement assistance, but what has really made the difference for me is the way I have always been treated by the staff through out my relationship with Complete. They always make me feel that my business matters to them.”

After the round table opportunities for brokers to hear from 12 lenders, the day was then dedicated to activities including golf, use the spa facilities at the club or going out on the Solent river for a sail in a Rib sailing boat.

Director, Tony Salentino, said the day was a great success. He added: “We had great support from our lenders and sponsors and the turnout from the broking sector was very strong with over 100 attending to meet our lenders and take part in our various activities.

“The Charity golf competition is always popular and this year Complete had a surprise waiting for all players on the 12th, Par 3 ‘Beat the Pro’ hole where instead of competing against a pro golfer the players were met by James Ward Prowse, Southampton FC’s central midfield player and England U21 Captain. James’s appearance helped Complete raise over £500 for The Alzheimer’s Society.”

Richard Deacon, sales director at Masthaven Bridging, said: “The Complete FS Expo is an event dear to Masthaven’s heart because it is so well organised with a high turn out of quality introducers. Phil and Tony do a tremendous job of uniting lender and broker, not just on the south coast, but all over the UK.’

Steve Sandiford, head of lending at Dudley Building Society, added: “It was a great opportunity to speak to Complete’s brokers, understand their business and how our bespoke approach, coupled with our underwriters’ close relationship with the team at Complete, can help provide mortgages for clients’ individual needs.”
