The Association of Short Term Lenders (ASTL) has revealed the complete line up for its conference taking place at Painters’ Hall in the City of London tomorrow (1 October).

Savills’ Edward Green is the final speaker to be announced.

The conference – Bridging – Problems and Solutions – is being headlined by the Right Honourable Sir Vince Cable.

Savills’ Edward Green will start the day, looking at the outlook for the residential market and buy-to-let. He will present an overview of the UK housing market looking at the prospects for the different sectors of the market.

Green will look at affordability, regulatory issues, transaction levels and prospects for house price growth as well as focussing on the effects that government initiatives have had on the market.

The full speaker line up is:

09.45 Edward Green, Savills – UK property analysis
10:15 Lorna O’Brien, FCA – FCA update
10:45 Jonathan Newman, Brightstone Law – on fraud case studies
11:45 Chris Taylor, TitleSolv – Fraud and insurance
12:15 The Rt. Hon. Sir Vince Cable – The political landscape
12:45 Benson Hersch, ASTL – The way ahead

Benson Hersch (pictured), chief executive of the ASTL, said: “With the Rt Hon Sir Vince Cable headlining, this year’s ASTL conference has been hotly anticipated and is almost a sell out event, with both lenders and brokers registering from throughout the market.

“Savills’ economists are widely respected and their speeches at our previous conferences have been some of the best received. I expect Edward’s speech to be highly relevant, interesting and informative and to provide a valuable insight for everybody attending.”
