Acre has partnered with Halifax to allow brokers to run Decisions in Principle directly through its intermediary platform, with more than half of residential cases now eligible for API submission.
The technology firm confirmed that the integration enables Acre brokers to source Halifax products and submit verified application data through a single workflow, without leaving the platform.
The move takes the proportion of residential cases on Acre that can be submitted directly to lenders via API to over 50%, marking a further step in the platform’s push to reduce manual processes for advisers.
Through the integration, brokers can obtain Halifax Decisions in Principle with one click, removing the need for repeat data entry or switching between systems.
Justus Brown, founder and chief executive of Acre, said: “Our mission to modernise the home-buying process means bringing all stakeholders – from the broker to the lender – on the digitalisation journey with us.
“This new integration with Halifax is a significant step for us in becoming the go-to technology that brokers need to achieve the right mortgage from leading lenders for any client first time, every time.”
Halifax said the partnership reflects a shared focus on improving the broker experience and streamlining how mortgages are processed.
The Halifax integration is currently being trialled by a select group of Acre users and is expected to be made more widely available shortly.
Frances Cassidy, head of strategic and technology partnerships at Halifax, added: “Reimagining the home buying process involves finding new ways to make it as smooth as possible for brokers to work with us.
“Acre’s innovative approach to simplifying the mortgage journey reflects our own commitment to rethinking and digitising how people buy homes. We are thrilled to be collaborating with Acre and look forward to developing a long-term partnership.”
