Accord broker podcast series reaches 50,000 downloads

Accord Mortgages’ Growth Series has reached 50,000 podcast downloads, eight years after the broker resource was launched.

The intermediary-only lender said the milestone reflected continued adviser demand for free educational content covering business growth, market knowledge and client support.

The Accord Growth Series was launched in 2018 and now includes hundreds of guides, blogs, webinars and podcasts. New material is added regularly, with fortnightly podcasts featuring industry experts and mortgage brokers.

Topics covered by the series include buy-to-let, first-time buyers, Consumer Duty, artificial intelligence and technology. Recent podcast themes have included mentorship and allyship, women’s health and surviving economic abuse.

Other episodes form part of managing director Jeremy Duncombe’s Mortgage Mentors series, which focuses on the experiences of senior figures in the mortgage industry. Guests have included Kate Davies in an episode titled “Why collaboration powers the mortgage industry”.

The most downloaded episode remains the first in the series, “How social media helped to grow my brokerage from £0 to £2.5 million turnover”.

The episode that took the series past the 50,000-download mark was “Mortgage Mentors: AI, HubSpot and the Modern Mortgage Firm with Jon Pittham”. Accord said the Growth Series has now reached 146 podcast episodes since launch.

Jeremy Duncombe (pictured), managing director at Accord Mortgages, said: “The Growth Series was created to support brokers in their personal development and help them expand their businesses. We’re incredibly proud of how far it has come and of the high-quality, timely content we’ve delivered over the years.

“Reaching 50,000 podcast downloads highlights just how relevant and valued the series is. The feedback from brokers has been fantastic, and their input continues to shape future episodes by guiding us towards the topics that matter most to them.”

Accord said brokers can access the Growth Series through its online sign-up page.
