Working To Wellbeing, a specialist in vocational rehabilitation coaching, has appointed Sam Walton as its new partnerships manager.

Walton (pictured) has over 25 years of experience in financial services, with a wealth of expertise in strategic partnerships, sales management, and business development.

Her appointment bolsters the company’s commitment to helping more people return to work and thrive after experiencing long-term health conditions.

She joins from AIG Life, having also held key roles at Vitality and LV=. She has a track record of working closely with insurers and intermediaries, building trusted relationships, and driving growth.

Walton is also passionate about the role that companies such as Working To Wellbeing have in improving the health & wellbeing of employees, particularly those with long-term conditions and cancer.

Working To Wellbeing believe that with the right support, at the right time, people can remain in or return to work in a way that works for them. Since 2012, its team of HCPC-registered health professionals has provided expert, compassionate, and evidence-based clinical and vocational rehabilitation services. It helps employees navigate the challenges of returning to work after conditions such as cancer, fatigue, long covid, stroke, persistent pain, neurodiversity, menopause, and mental ill health.

It partners with employers, insurers, occupational health, and case managers to create tailored solutions that put people’s health and wellbeing at the heart of their return-to-work journey.

Dr Julie Denning, managing director, chartered health psychologist at Working To Wellbeing, and chair of the Vocational Rehabilitation Association, said: “We are thrilled to have Sam on board. She shares our belief that work can be good for health when the right support is in place, and her experience and industry knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to grow. The demand for workplace rehabilitation services is increasing, and we are committed to reaching more organisations to ensure employees receive the help they need to return to or remain in work with confidence and dignity.”

Walton added: “I am delighted to join Working To Wellbeing at such an exciting time. More than ever, employers and insurers are recognising the vital role of specialist return-to-work support in helping employees manage their health while remaining in or returning to work. I look forward to working with our partners to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions that make a real difference in people’s lives.”
