Word On The Street arranges £108m of property finance in record year

Word On The Street arranged more than £108 million of property finance across 239 completed cases during 2025-2026, its annual report shows.

The specialist property finance brokerage said its total gross loan amount increased by 62% year on year to £108,719,807, while revenue rose by 75% to £1,838,128.

The number of completed cases grew by 130% year on year to 239. Buy-to-let accounted for the largest share, with 130 cases, followed by 82 bridging cases, 16 development cases and 11 commercial mortgage cases.

The brokerage said it had remained focused on serving clients, investing in staff and improving its operations despite global economic uncertainty and changing market conditions.

During the year, the firm invested in a bespoke customer relationship management platform designed around the requirements of its clients and employees. It also expanded its team to nine people.

Michael Street, founding partner at Word On The Street, said: “As we reflect on another successful year, I am immensely proud of what our team has achieved. The past 12 months have presented no shortage of challenges, yet we have never been distracted by external noise or comparisons with others.

“We have remained focused on what we can control: serving our clients, supporting one another and continually improving our business, and that discipline has delivered these results.

“A lot of that growth has come through buy-to-let, and it’s not hard to see why: landlords are facing more complexity than ever, and more of them want a specialist broker in their corner rather than going it alone.

“We’re seeing similar demand across bridging and development, and we expect all three to keep growing through the next financial year.

“With a growing team and the infrastructure behind them, we’re ready to meet that demand while staying true to how we do things. The foundations are stronger than ever, and we are excited for what comes next.”
